Hi guys , tip for ya .. Batteries have memories so Before using a brand new one, make sure they are completely charged or your battery life will be effected , and lets face it they are not cheap . greetings and love from UK , kudos to the boys stepping up and helping a lot more , its noticed 😉 .
Everyone says how expensive Chickens are to have?. I am so thankful for the education you show thru your videos and cost effective ways to feed and care for them. Gives a person hope-:). Happy to see your Homestead coming back together. Great to see more and more of Beauty too❣.
Would you be trying out the Garden of Eden method? Would probably have to get lots of woodchips though. He uses a fixed enclosure for his chickens and harvests the woodchips to just layer onto his garden. That way no need to prep the soil or plant cover crops and just build up soil fertility through time without any digging.
Ah, the dead battery on the drill. Sorry. We've felt that pain lately, only it doesn't matter how long we charge ours, they only last about 10 minutes. Which Dewalt drill is that? We need a good impact driver to get some things going around our yard.
Another nice day on the homestead. By the looks of it you'll be good and ready to get your chickens. Violet and Stud Muffin seem to be doing great in the pasture. You keep petting that cow and soon you'll be able to pet the big Muffin … on the side or the rump; never on the head (He won't let you)… 🙂
How is rebecca doing now aday? Hope shes feeling back in the groove!! Im excited about the new stuff and another 100 days of growing!. I got a little addicted to those videos!! I love watching your family prepare your dream! Isnt it a wonderful thing? Wonderful to watch!
Stud and Violet are settling in nicely…..critters love a routine! If I was a little closer I'd build you some stiff arm shelves with 2x4s and organize that "post pile" in the barn! So much to do and never enough time, I know, but it always makes me a little crazy! 🙂
When I realized I watched this video yesterday I was going to delete it. But I ended up watching the whole thing. It was such a great video. Thank you so much. My heart is warmed.
Hi Justin, I was looking for the video of where you went to a farm and they had chickens and cows together. I guess the one I am referring to is when the guy put chicken feed on top of the cow poop and the chickens scratched the poop scattering it around. I liked that idea ! Was wondering if you could perhaps take some cow poop from the stalls and put in your garden area and let your chickens do the same. Make be helpful ! Thanks for sharing God Bless !
I miss your epic camera/drone shots and adventures.. could you film local trips to the market or even walks around the stream and wooded area of your property? Thank you for what you do give us thou.. Just missing your great camera work and stories.
Hi Justin, just a little advice of the metal post you put in especially the ones in an angle, please could you put a cover like empty bottles or anything.. It scares me when the kids playing??? and to all of you around the garden. It makes more safe as a protection for the eyes because it's hard to notice especially when you bend down…
Justin ? your a great example of fatherhood. do you have enough fencing to set up your grid for the cattle with gates …just drop the wire and move them instead of having to move the fence all the time…great vid ??
Just loving the quality of that soil you are building there Justin! So wonderful to see in comparison to the dust-bowl conditions that are so often the norm in conventional agriculture. Keep up the fantastic work with the channel mate.
did i hear you say "100 dyas of growing food"? i loved your daily vlog on last years 100 days of growing food last time. It was so inspiring to watch you and rebecca grow so much great produce! my partner are saving for our first home, and although we may not be able to afford a large property, we are making plans and doing research on how to implement permaculture principles in a suburban property as small as 600sqm (which is the size were currently renting) thank you for sharing you knowledge and your journey for us all to be inspired by!

I am hoping for a chicken garden miracle, this year! We're just starting into using chickens in our garden, we moved onto our homestead in August.

Wow, looks like spring already. In Norway it wont be like this until late march/early april 🙁

All those farms…. All that knowledge… Excited to see how amazing it goes for you this year.
Maybe Art and Bri can bring you some walking ducks as well!
Justin…Hafa Adai from Guam!…how do you plan to keep the chickens from flying out of the enclosure you set up?
