  1. I grow the tried and true varieties that always work for me, then add a few new, fun things each year 😉 I've been gardening for 8 years and there is always something new to learn! I got burned last year and didn't start anything from seed so I had to settle for transplants and didn't find any varieties I usually grow 🙁

  2. I go through Seed catalogs too and also look on the different seed websites like MIgardener. I do pretty much the same process as you. It works pretty well for me. I’ve only been gardening seriously for the last couple years so I’m still pretty new. I used to just buy plant starts and sometimes seeds and stick them in the ground without doing any research whatsoever and nothing ever did well at all.
