Oh man if you're going to plant a pawpaw there it would be much better to leave the tree until the pawpaw is at least 4-5 years old. They do best when initially grown in shade.

Have you ever considered a star fruit tree in your design? I liked them growing up, but am not sure it'd fit in my area.

I think it was a great decision to take down that tree. Now you have more sun coming in for your food forest. Those cuttings look mighty healthy. Take care friend 🙂

You are not cutting down old growth forest. That tree is a weed at this point. Plus you planted so many more trees that give back. Plus I bet more then anything you will recycle it back to your garden.

I love asparagus too! I've only had luck going them in pots, when I've put thrm in the ground they dont do so well.

I'll be planting a Pakistani Mulberry in 1-2 weeks too. Looking forward to having lots of good tasting fruit! Can't wait for the Goji Berry pruning video. I just planted five Phoenix Tear 2 year old roots in December. Should have a nice goji crop and plenty of cuttings this year.
