The whole world stops when my Baker Creek catalog arrives! I want absolutely no interruptions until I've at least been able to see every page in it. The beauty of it makes me even want Brussel Sprouts and we don't even like them. I hope you know your calling is doing something in the video word. Some company needs to pay you big money to work for them!!
Why do people insist on putting background music in their videos while talking? Most everyone I know with tinnitus, me included, only hear a garbled talk that can only understand maybe every tenth word spoken.. All I could understand of this video is that you like popcorn.
Cameron and I are going to try the popcorn in a bag pop some night – Great video – BTW when I watch you plant in the beginning of the video, I thought it myself “crap I am already behind starting seeds “
Lovely video as usual, thank you. Saw your spreadsheet for tracking your garden in the video. Would you consider a video describing what you track? Thank you.
Popping it right on the cob! That’s cool! Thanks Eric, I love all your videos. By the way, was there ever a winner for the homestead pumpkin challenge? If so, I missed that video. I’ll go back and look for it right now.
You had a lot of great advice, thanks. I agree get the seed orders in now, because the companies will run out. The popcorn popping on the cob, was awesome. Looks yummy too. Thanks for sharing! ???
Your videos are always so well done. The camera angles, the subtle music, and the general vibe is truly captivating. I wish more YouTubers would take your lead on how to make a masterpiece.
On a side note, my wife and I are currently making strides to transition to homestead living in the next few years. We are stocking up on food, tools, skills, and materials in the meantime to build our dream home and farm. The opening sequence of the video made me tear up a little, and I'm not afraid to admit it, at the thought of doing this ourselves. I know that it is hard work, this lifestyle, but it is definitely more fulfilling than what I have been doing for the past 20 years of being a part of the general workforce. What people in my area and generation fail to realize is that the US was built upon the idea of doing for yourself, not having things provided without earning it…its a shame really. I want nothing more than to provide for myself and for my family.
I always cringe when i see a microwave in use after an oncoligist at the cancer center told me they were one of the leading causes of breast cancer in women. THey cause dioxin toleach out of plastic products when heated in the microwave. But i do hope you have good luck with the popcorn this year. We are doing the Cherokee garden this year groing the white eagle corn.It will be interesting to see how it grows here.
Really nice video. As much as folks express (well deserved) awe at the firewood pile, we're always inspired by footage of your corn in the garden! We can do firewood, but can't seem to do corn – yet. Very cool popping corn on the cob!
great video Eric !! the Five P's are always important for success ( perfect preparation prevents poor performance)

No haters – yet! Love the sound of a crackling fire in the background.

I better get on our garden planning!! That is such a fun way to pop popcorn! The kids go crazy!
We are ordering popcorn seeds as well. The trick for us is doing so in the high desert with big winds. :p
What's not to like from a guy talking popcorn in an authentic GIJOE hoodie! ?? Appreciate the info and vid.
I look forward to seeing how your pop corn adventure goes.
